EXHAUSTION

What can I say? I am exhausted! Between work and trying to figure out how to raise a puppy, I am pretty overwhelmed these days. Puppies really change your lifestyle…much like babies. The thing that has really been hard for me to adjust to is the loss of sleep. Having said all of that, I miss you guys! Honestly, I really needed (need) a vacation while I regroup and try to figure things out. Writing and blogging has sort of taken a backseat in my life, though I am sure I will get back to it soon. I haven’t even been able to read a book lately. So sad!

Well, how are you guys? Leave me a comment and let me know that you are out there and doing well. I promise I will get back to blogging soon…I will have A LOT of catching up to do!

Hope you're able to get caught up soon! We miss you! But it's so fun that you have other things keeping you busy. Enjoy all the time with the pooch!

I've been watching my brother's puppy and forgot how energetic and time consuming they are! Enjoy the puppy phase and get back to writing or blogging when it feels right!

Ah, the joys of pet parenthood. The 2 AM hacking up a hairball. The 3 AM "daddy, i just have to go out now", and the 6:00 AM on a Saturday "i'm ready to play". Would I trade any of it? Not a snowball's chance in LA!

When we first rescued Jesse and James, we did the go out every two hours things. They were 3 1/2 years old when we adopted them, but they had been outside dogs, so we still had to go through the house training thing. Luckily, they adapted quickly enough. Unluckily, they like to get up at 3 AM.

Things will settle down soon enough. There's nothing better than coming home at the end of the day and being greeted by a dog. They love you no matter what and wag their tales just to show you how much they love you.

Enjoy the puppy moments. The writing will happen when it happens. Take care!

p.s. I'll raise my margarita glass in your honor tonight!

Take your time! Everyone needs a break once in awhile. Get some rest, and I hope that puppy starts behaving for you so you can sleep. :) We'll be here when you get back.

Hi Traci,
Well, you may be exhausted, but I'm happy that you are getting puppy time! Sometimes a break from the writing can be a great thing.

P.S. It's a little late in coming, but I wrote a post about your dialog infodump over at the Literary Lab today.

Been there done that with the puppy. It is so just like another child without a diaper. Good luck with the training.
